Public Defender’s Office: One of the detainees referred to ill-treatment by police officers and had injuries - the Office applied to Special Investigation Service

Representatives of the Public Defender of Georgia visited 10 persons arrested on the night of April 15 at the protest rally in front of the Parliament building in Tbilisi, - the Public Defender’s Office reports.

According to them, one of the detainees referred to the ill-treatment by police officers and expressed a desire for a response to the above; In addition, the Public Defender’s representatives observed injuries on his body. Accordingly, the Public Defender’s Office has already applied to the Special Investigation Service with a request to investigate the incident.
